Abstract

A four day old neonate presented with a massive swelling on the left side of neck since birth. The swelling was partially compressible, brilliantly transluminant and increased in size on crying. A diagnosis of massive cystic hygroma was made. The differential diagnosis, characteristics and management of such a neck swelling in a neonate is discussed.
